What comes to mind when you think of a natural healthy-looking glow? Well -euh- I actually don’t know what you think of, but the first thing that pops up in my mind is the Filmstar Bronze and Glow palet from Charlotte Tilbury!
All of her products are right up my alley. Charlotte is a master in creating beauty products in order to enhance your natural beautiful features, not covering them up and leave you looking like a cakey ripe orange. Score!
Let’s start off with her famous Filmstar Bronze and Glow palet – oh boy. I’ve got my palet in the shade Light to Medium – which will suit most skin types. The two colors on the palet (sculpt and highlight) form the perfect duo to bronze, contour and highlight your face, without looking overdone. The palet is known for its famous Highlight, however I’m more a fan of the Sculpt (aka bronzer) side. It just gives the perfect amount of pigment and shade to your face and leaves you streak free, even if you go wild on it (which I wouldn’t advise though). The Highlight side is very good too, however I like my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed in the color Champagne Pop more. The latter just gives you that extra oomph and healthy-looking shine.
To apply the palet I used her Powder and Sculpt Brush – which is definitely a winner. Maybe it’s even the best sculpt brush I’ve ever seen. Because of the special shape of the bristles, your really can get the product right there below your cheekbones.
On to blush. I bought her Cheek to Chic Blush in the color Ecstasy and I’ve used it ever since. I apply the outer color subtly on my cheeks and bring it up to my cheekbones by blending it out. On the apples of my cheek I use the color in the middle – just to get that extra ‘pop’ of color. Et voilà!
To apply the blush I’ve used her Blusher brush (say that ten times in a row 🙂 ). Let’s be honest here, it’s a qualitative brush, but any good blush brush will do really.
And last but not least: the lip duo. If you want to obtain the “your lips but better look” – than this one’s for you! The combination of the lip liner Lip Cheat in the color Pillow Talk and the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. lipstick in Bitch Perfect is ab-so-lu-tely to die for (exaggerating, moi?). Anyway, if you have to choose between these two, I would definitely go for the Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk – it is with good reason that it’s one of the bestsellers of the Charlotte Tilbury make-up collection. It just has the perfect formulation, isn’t drying on the lips, glides on smoothly and forms the perfect base for any lipstick really. Moreover, since it mimics the perfect color of your lips, you can slightly overdraw your lips to make them appear bigger. Bye, Kylie Jenner!
So if you want to define your lips and make your lips more kissable – without anyone noticing you’re wearing any lipstick: go for it girl!
I bought all of the products in de Bijenkorf (Amsterdam), but good news for the lazy/busy ones among us: they’ve got a webshop too (just check out the links)!
